Ania Bajorek

Director and photographer, creator of music videos, commercials and fashion films.

"Exceptional things happen in surprisingly small and ordinary moments.
It is these moments that I am most attracted to in film and photography. I want to be with my characters, to understand them in these very moments, to feel close to them. For me, this approach is at the heart of the journey I embark on with the characters."

On set, she often combines photography with film, which gives her work a strongly visual, modern, interdisciplinary feel.
She loves projects where she can work with dance and colour.  Working with actors gives her great satisfaction. If the relationship formed in front of the lens is genuine, it works. She strongly believes that good energy on set influences the end result.

She graduated from many schools. Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Rehearsal Studio at the Wajda School, Photography at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava and Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

Her photographic and artistic works have been part of group exhibitions both in Poland (MOCAK, Month of Photography in Krakow, BWA Zielona Góra, Nowy Teatr in Warsaw) and abroad (Umeå European Capital of Culture, Month of Photography in Bratislava).

Finalist of competitions including Hestia's Artistic Journey and winner of the MKDiN scholarship.

Her videos have been recognised by, among others, Directors Notes and Culture.pl magazine, Her Docs festival and Directors Notes magazine.

She has worked for clients such as LPP, Jeronimo Martins, ING, Douglas, Ferrero, Nationale Nederlanden, Cersanit, Usp, Play, De'Longhi, Lotos and many others.

She is currently developing the script for her feature film debut as part of the Screenwriting Atelier.
