Mateusz Kanownik

Warsaw based cinematographer, extreme sports enthusiast, adventure seeker, open, ambitious and hardworking. 
Graduate of the Film and Television School in Warsaw and BA cinematography course at Ravensbourne University in London.
He worked on many short films, music videos, and documentaries which some were shown on widely recognized, international festivals and platforms like SXSW, New Orleans Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Polish International Film Festival, PL MVA, Short Waves, Director’s Library, and also via Vimeo Staff Pick.
He constantly progresses while working on various, challenging projects as a director of photography. He works as a camera operator to such productions of the last years as: „Cudak”, „Fucking Bornholm” directed by Anna Kazejak and two seasons of popular tv series " Wojenne dziewczyny".
He worked for such brands as: Pepsi, Nike, McDonald’s, Samsung, Mastercard, PZU, Sizeer, Kaufland, VOX, Carrefour, Triumph, O.B, Resibo, Finiata, 4F, T-Mobile, Monte, Zatecky.
His keen eye pays attention to every detail and skilfully documents the surrounding reality – or creates a new one within it.
