Marek Rajca

Born in Crakow (1972), graduate of Cinematography Department in Lodz Film School. He gained his experience as a still cameraman for "Poznan 56", also as a camera operator, shooting documentaries and TV theatre drama. He started his professional career working with the most famous names in film industry such as: Sławomir Idziak ("King Artur" by Antoine Fuqua) and Paweł Edelman ("The Pianist" by Roman Polański, "All The King's Men" by Steven Zaillianand, "Oliver Twist" by Roman Polański).
His feature debut was set for 2004 with Jan Hryniak film "The Third". Since then he collaborated with top Polish directors, including Andrzej Wajda and such production houses as AKSON STUDIO and OPUS FILM. He returned to feature projects with "Wolka", directed by Árnie Ólafur Ásgeirsson. The film received several nominations to EDDA Awards (the Icelandic Film and Television Academy), including Best Cinematography for Marek Rajca.
Since he started a career in the film industry, he was simultaneously working in advertising and shooting many commercials with Polish as well as foreign directors. Amicable, funny and extremely professional, he is unquestionable master of pack-shot takes – his impressive portfolio contains appetizing table top films as well as alluring beer commercials.

Canal + tv series "Emigracja" based on Malcolm xD novels directed by Łukasz Kośmicki. with Marek's cinematography premiered in 2023 and gained great reviews.
